  • International Graduate Program of Education and Human Development (Ph.D.)

This program addresses the interface of research and practice in education, weaving together theoretical models and concepts in their application to real world educational issues. We offers in numerous fields of study, including three primary areas:

  1. Educational - Curriculum and Instruction, Management and Administration

  2. Applied Psychology in Education

  3. Statistics and Psychometrics

All courses are taught in English. IGPEHD offers you a foundation to excel and succeed in a dynamic English-friendly learning environment and offers a unique opportunity to explore Taiwan’s culture. We also offer a range of different scholarships for international students to help cover tuition fees or living costs.

Ph.D. Degree Program

  1. A minimum of 30 credits is required for doctoral students in a period of 2 to 7 years (including 3 credits for Research Methodology). For each semester, the upper limit for the courses credits selected is 12 (including courses outside of the program, while the credits earned from outside of the program shall not exceed 10 graduation credits).

  2. Students are required to pass language proficiency test before their oral assessment.

  3. Degree will be granted upon successful completion of coursework, written and oral qualifying examination, proposal and defense dissertation. Dissertation is required to be written in English.

Tuition

Ph. D.: 53,760 NTD / semester (1,732 USD)

On-campus Housing

International Village (2-Bed Room): 17,000/ semester

Local Dorm (4-Bed Room): 8,500/ semester

The living cost in Kaohsiung City between NT$8,000 to NT$10,000 per month.

*Fees for winter & summer breaks are excluded.
