The Department was founded in 2002 and the master's program was established 2004. Aiming at healthcare requirements, the Department emphasizes basic training in informatics technology and promotes teaching and research in the intersecting fields of biomedical informatics. It thus cultivates professional experts in the bioinformatics, who have the ability of discriminative thinking, and spirit of Tzu Chi humanistic services, as well as cooperative teamwork.
