The Department of International and Mainland China was established in 2006 and is the only one in Taiwan that offers courses in both international and cross-strait affairs. It aims to cultivate students’ political and economic talents with great emphasis on international as well as cross-strait affairs in the areas of climate change, environmental protection, health care, humanitarian aid, investments, economic and trade cooperation. To support this, it organizes academic visits to and exchanges with universities in South East Asia and mainland China.
