The Precision Medical Technology program at National Taiwan University (NTU) is designed to foster talent capable of advancing healthcare through innovative approaches in big data analytics, intelligent medical devices, and clinically-driven medicine. This interdisciplinary initiative involves collaboration across multiple NTU colleges, including the Graduate School of Advanced Technology (GSAT), YongLin Institute of Health, College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, and College of Medicine. The program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering three main sub-fields: precision medicine, advanced medical imaging, and innovative medical devices and genomics.

In precision medicine, students gain expertise in integrating knowledge from genomics, bioinformatics, epidemiology, and public health. The curriculum emphasizes the application of artificial intelligence 2.0 to enhance precision healthcare solutions. Advanced medical imaging focuses on merging structural and functional imaging techniques, molecular and cellular imaging, and advanced imaging systems to improve diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. The program also addresses innovative medical devices and genomics, equipping students with skills in designing and developing cutting-edge medical devices using interdisciplinary technological knowledge. This includes biomedical, electronics, semiconductor, software, and material sciences. Training in genomics covers precise gene sequencing methods and the development of sensitive gene testing platforms, crucial for advancing drug development and personalized medicine practices. Collectively, the program aims to bridge academia with the biotech and semiconductor industries, preparing students to lead in the rapidly evolving field of precision medical technology.
